With over 10 years experience in the field of psychology, Janina is a passionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist who works with diverse clients to improve their mental health and well-being. She provides evidence-based interventions and assessments for adults with complex mental health needs.
Janina holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Psychology (Clinical). She has developed strong skills in counselling, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evaluation, as well as in leadership, communication, collaboration, and advocacy. She has worked in both the public and private sectors and also has a solid background in positive behaviour support. Additionally, Janina is an approved Behaviour Support Practitioner. She is committed to delivering high-quality and evidenced-based services to her clients, and to advancing the profession of psychology through research, education, and community engagement. Her goal is to use her expertise and experience to help people overcome their challenges, achieve their potential, and live fulfilling lives.

Jose brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, drawing on a diverse background in education and law enforcement. With a career spanning over 30 years, Jose has made significant contributions in both fields. He is passionate and committed to up-skilling others and providing much needed education on managing mental health concerns within the workplace and broader community.
Beginning as a Secondary School teacher, Jose taught in several remote schools in outback Queensland, where he not only educated students but also provided support to address behavioural and mental health challenges. In 1994, Jose transitioned to the Queensland Police Service, where he has since dedicated himself to a multifaceted career. In this 30 years of service, Jose has held various roles, including service as a facilitator at the Queensland Police Academy. There, he delivered important modules on law, social issues, mental health, and suicide prevention. Additionally, Jose has worked in several forensic fields within the police service, gaining invaluable experience in addressing complex issues related to mental health.
Jose holds a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching, and is currently pursuing a Master of Suicidology, expected to be completed by the end of 2025. He is a licensed Mental Health First Aid Instructor with Mental Health First Aid Australia, a global, purpose-driven provider of mental health first aid education that equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide support when it matters most.
